In this gallery of previous work, I encourage you dear reader, to consider the work on this page as a source of inspiration for your own custom piece. Do you have a stone you’d like to have wrapped but need some help with the wrap style? Perhaps you’d like a stone that’s a little more down to earth and without the sparkle and glitz. Could I interest you in a common stone beautifully crafted by our Earth mother? Check out our collection of amazing beach stones, below.
Cabochons From the Beach
A visit to the west coast rewarded us with a lovely collection of polished beach stones in a wide assortment of colors and patterns. These cabochons (gems polished but not faceted) are getting a final polish in our tumbler and all of them will be suitable and available for wrapping by late Spring, 2022.
Gone But Not Forgotten
Who Says It’s A Gemstone?
A gemstone by definition is any crystalline mineral which is highly prized for its beauty, durability, and rarity. There are a few non-crystalline materials of organic origin like pearl, red coral, and amber, which are also classified as gemstones.
It is our opinion that gemstones as defined above are commonly used in jewelry and therefore it would be uncommon to see beach stones used in pendant jewelry and therefore more unique than store bought jewelry. They are of course more affordable than true gemstones, and we are delighted to make public this large assortment of polished beach stones. We have a good number of “true” gemstones as well, including but not limited to emeralds, turquoise, aquamarine, amethyst, and rutilated quartz. Additionally, many of these gemstones are certified genuine earth-mined crystals, so you can feel great about the authenticity of your gem. Feel free to ask about availability.
