Description

These unique earrings are made with hammered, polished copper which flashes as it catches the light; black cultured pearls; and sterling silver. The dark iridescent color of these pearls is natural and due to organic pigments.

Pearls were the first gem to be enjoyed by humanity. It did not need any cutting or polishing, it was beautiful from the very beginning. As such, pearls represent spiritual transformation. Here, the metaphor is that the innocent, pure-hearted, yet coarse grain of sand is transformed and slowly developed into a object of tremendous value and beauty. Pearls help us get in touch with the simple, honest things of life.

Copper is considered a mineral of energy and mental agility. As an excellent conductor of energy, it can manipulate the mystical subtle energies emanating from higher planes. Thus, copper is said to amplify and transmit thoughts, even over long distances. Copper is used in traditional folk remedy and crystal healing lore to bring in additional energies for all types of healing, treatment of arthritis, relieving pain of broken bones, sexual instability, and low energy. It should be noted however, that while copper is an essential nutrient mineral, it is only needed in small quantities. Too much copper can be as much of a health problem as too little copper. Here’s a handy link to help determine if you may be suffering from too much or too little copper.

Thanks for looking, and I’m sure you’ll love wearing these vibrant, articulating earrings as much as I loved making them!
